Managing resources on a booking

Add, change, or remove the resources assigned to an existing booking without having to delete and recreate it.

A booking starts with whatever resource the slot was created against — the pharmacist, room, or equipment the appointment needs. Those aren't locked in: from the booking you can assign another resource, swap one resource for a different one, or remove a resource that's no longer needed. Handy when the immuniser on shift changes, a room is double-booked, or a booking was made before its resource was decided.

Open the Resources page

Open the booking from Bookings, the Calendar, or the Dashboard, then tap Resources in the booking's header.

The Resources page lists every resource on the booking, each with its Kind. If none are assigned yet, the page shows No resources.

Adding a resource

  1. Tap Add resource

    On the Resources page, tap Add resource. The Add resource sheet opens.

  2. Pick the resource

    Use the Resource picker to search for and select the resource to assign.

  3. Add

    Tap Add. The resource appears on the booking and a toast confirms: "Resource added".

Changing a resource

Swap one assigned resource for another — for example, moving the booking to a different immuniser or room.

  1. Open the resource menu

    On the Resources page, open the actions menu on the resource row and choose Change. The Change resource sheet opens.

  2. Pick the replacement

    Choose the new resource under Replace with.

  3. Change

    Tap Change. The booking swaps to the new resource and a toast confirms: "Resource changed".

Removing a resource

Drops a resource off a booking without deleting the booking itself.

  1. Open the resource menu

    On the Resources page, open the actions menu on the resource row and choose Remove. Light asks for confirmation in the Remove resource dialog.

  2. Confirm

    Tap Remove. The resource is removed from the booking and a toast confirms removal.

Resources vs rescheduling

Changing a resource here reassigns who or what the booking is against; it doesn't move the booking in time. To change the time, duration, or to pick a slot by resource availability, use Rescheduling a booking instead.
