Light now connects to the Healthcare Identifiers (HI) Service. Once your site is configured, you can add and validate HPI-Is for users who need one, and resolve and manage IHIs for your customers.

Light can also look up an IHI on its own – when a patient books, when dispense history arrives, or when you record an AIR encounter.

Beyond providing a mechanism to validate patient identity against national infrastructure, IHI validation is the foundation of upcoming features, such as My Health Record integration and ePrescribing.

Same patient on two records? Open the Merge tab on Customers, then search for and select both records. Light shows them side by side, and you pick which values to keep.

We've updated booking-related status colours so they're easier to tell apart at a glance. Booked is a plain outline instead of green, Past Due is amber instead of grey, and Walk-In, Voucher and Group are plain outlines.
