How-to

Deleting a booking

Remove a booking and optionally notify the customer.

Delete a booking when it's no longer going ahead. Deletion is permanent — it can't be restored.

A booking can't be deleted if any service on it has a claim or an AIR submission.

For a change of time, use rescheduling instead.

Steps

  1. Open the booking

Navigate to the booking from the Bookings list, the Calendar, or the Dashboard.

  2. Choose Delete

Tap Delete in the top-right action bar. The Delete Booking dialog opens.

  3. Pick a reason

    Select one of:

    • Customer cancelled
    • Scheduling conflict
    • Resource unavailable
    • Service no longer offered
    • Other (free text)

The reason is recorded on the booking's activity log. For blocked time, no reason is required.

  4. Choose whether to delete the services

Also delete the services on this booking is ticked by default, so the services and their forms are deleted with the booking. Untick it to keep the services on the Services list. For blocked time, this option isn't shown.

  5. Confirm

The dialog shows whether the customer will be notified and whether any applied voucher will be released. Tap Delete to confirm.

What happens

  • The booking's status becomes Cancelled
  • Its time slot is released — the resource is available to book again
  • Any voucher applied to a service on the booking is released
  • If Also delete the services on this booking was ticked, the services and their forms are deleted
  • If notifications are on, the customer receives a cancellation message
  • The booking stays visible in the Bookings list with a cancelled badge

When a booking can't be deleted

If any service on the booking has a claim or an AIR submission, the dialog shows "A service on this booking has a claim. Contact support to delete it." and offers only Close. Contact Support if the booking still needs to be deleted.

Rebooking

Deleted bookings can't be restored. To rebook, create a new booking for the same customer and service.
