Marking attendance
Record whether a customer attended their booking or missed it.
Once a booking has happened — or if it's clear it isn't going to — record the outcome so the booking doesn't sit unresolved. Attendance feeds claims, no-show reporting, and the dashboard's Past Due prompt.
Steps
- Open the booking
From the Dashboard, Bookings list, or the Calendar, tap the booking to open its detail page.
- Open Attendance
In the top-right action bar, open Attendance and choose Attended or Missed.
- Confirm, if asked
If the booking hasn't ended yet, Light asks you to confirm. This is the only guard — there's no separate prompt once the booking is in the past.
The badge on the booking updates immediately, and the booking drops off the Past Due prompt on the Dashboard and Bookings list.
Past Due bookings
A booking whose end time has passed but is still Booked shows a Past Due badge on the Dashboard, Bookings list, and the booking itself. Attendance is never set automatically — someone on staff needs to mark every booking Attended or Missed for its status to resolve.
If a booking will clearly never happen (customer cancelled, clash, no intent to reschedule), delete it instead of marking it Missed. Delete records a reason and releases the slot; Missed doesn't.
What you can't change
Attendance is a one-way step for most purposes. Once a booking is Attended or Missed, there's no Undo button in the UI. If you marked the wrong outcome, contact support.
Attendance actions aren't available on Held bookings — those resolve themselves when the customer confirms or the hold expires.
Walk-ins
Walk-ins don't check themselves in or mark themselves attended. They're created in the Booked state like any other booking, and need to be marked Attended once the service is delivered.
