Creating a service offering
Add a bookable service to your pharmacy — duration, price, availability, and resources.
A service offering is what customers can book — a flu vaccine, a health consultation, a blood pressure check. Creating an offering makes it appear in the Add Booking form and, if public, on the public booking portal.
For customers who need one service at different price points or with different rules (adult vs child flu vaccines, CVCP vs NIPVIP), use variants rather than separate offerings.
Before you start
You need at least one resource configured if the offering requires a room or piece of equipment. Virtual offerings (phone consultations, non-clinical services) skip resources entirely.
Steps
- Open the Add form
Go to Settings›Services and tap Add. The Add Service Offering sheet opens.
- Pick the service
Choose from the service list — Flu vaccine, COVID-19 vaccine, consultation, and so on. The selection determines what claim programs and forms are available for this offering.
- Set duration and price
Duration is required (in minutes). Price is optional — leave blank or set to 0 for a free service.
Duration can be a single value (e.g. 15 minutes for all days), or vary by day of week if your appointment length differs between weekdays and weekends.
- Pick how it's booked
Visibility:
- Public — listed on the public booking portal. Anyone can find and book.
- Unlisted — not listed publicly, but accessible via a direct link. Useful for promoted or campaign bookings.
- Private — staff-only. Doesn't appear on the portal at all.
- Set Availability Mode
- Linked Resources — bookings need one or all of a fixed list of resources to be free. Most physical services
- Virtual — no resource required. Phone follow-ups, telehealth, non-clinical services
- Dynamic — match any resource by kind or tag rather than naming specific ones. See Configuring dynamic availability
- Link resources (if needed)
For Linked Resources mode, pick which resources can fulfil this offering. Choose Any (any single linked resource is enough) or All (every linked resource must be free).
- Save
The offering appears in the Services list and is immediately bookable according to its visibility settings.
What happens next
- The offering appears in the Add Booking form
- If Public, it appears on the public booking portal
- If AIR antigen codes apply (flu, COVID, etc.), vaccinations recorded against bookings for this offering flow to AIR automatically
