Printing an immunisation statement

After submitting an AIR encounter, you can print an immunisation statement — a single-page PDF the customer can take home as a record of the vaccinations given at the visit. It's useful for travel, school, workplace, or aged-care documentation needs where the customer doesn't want to wait for the record to propagate to their AIR history.

The statement is generated from the submitted encounter form, so the detail in the PDF matches exactly what you recorded and submitted to AIR.

Prerequisites

• The encounter form must be submitted. The option doesn't appear on drafts.

Generating the statement

1. Open the submitted form

   From the service page or the customer's service card, find the submitted AIR encounter form you want to print.

2. Open the print menu

   Tap the print action on the form's row. Where you'd normally see Print summary, you'll see Print Immunisation Statement instead — the AIR-specific option replaces the generic summary for these forms.

3. Download

   Tap Print Immunisation Statement. Light generates the PDF server-side and downloads it to your browser. Hand the printed copy to the customer, or email it on from the download.

What the statement contains

The PDF is a single A4 page with:

• Pharmacy letterhead — site name, address, phone, and email
• Consumer details — name and date of birth as recorded on the customer profile
• Vaccinations given at the visit — vaccine, dose number, batch number, site of administration, and the date the vaccination was given. If a "due next" date was recorded, it's included too.
• Immuniser name and signature date — the pharmacist who recorded the encounter

Multiple vaccinations recorded against the same encounter (e.g. flu plus COVID-19 given together) appear as separate cards on the one page.

When to use this vs the full history

The statement is a snapshot of this visit, not a full vaccination history. If the customer needs their complete record, open the Immunisations tab on their profile — that view consolidates every vaccination Light knows about (recorded at your pharmacy and pulled from AIR) and can generate an AIR immunisation history statement for the customer on the spot.

Use Print Immunisation Statement for "here's what we gave you today"; use the Immunisations tab for "here's everything AIR has on record".
